Build A Ring Farm events guide

Weather events are the only way to earn mutations naturally in Build A Ring Farm. Each event type triggers a specific mutation at a set chance rate. Stay active during events — offline crops cannot mutate.

👽 UFO 👽 Alien 3.25× ~2.5% Rare Slightly better than Radioactive. Prioritize your best crop during UFO event.
🚜 Mega Farm 🚜 Farm 4× ~1.5% Very Rare 4× on an Outer Ring Exotic crop is a milestone. Have your best crops ready.
🌌 Galaxy 🌈 Rainbow 5× ~1% Very Rare The most chased event for most players. Have your best Prismatic crop planted.
🐝 Bee Swarm / Queen Bee 🍯 Honeycomb 6.5× ~0.5% ⭐ Ultra Rare The rarest and most valuable event. Never log off when a Bee Swarm is active.
Event chance values are community-estimated approximate rates per eligible crop per harvest cycle during the event. Official values are not published by the developer. Data verified May 2026.

Event participation strategy

🌱 Before any event fires

  • Plant your best crops in active plots
  • Ensure sprinkler coverage on every plot
  • Verify saw range reaches all planted crops
  • Do not uproot leveled crops expecting to replant later

⚡ During the event

  • Stay active — offline crops cannot mutate
  • Let the saw cycle complete multiple times
  • If your best crop already has a good mutation, consider Acid Spray only if event is ultra-rare (Galaxy / Bee Swarm)
  • Do not waste premium sprays during common events

🎯 After the event

  • Check each crop's mutation status in the in-game panel
  • Record which crops mutated for future upgrade planning
  • Use the Mutation Forecaster to see how much the new mutation adds
  • If Acid Spray is available, clear weak mutations on crops you want to reroll

How to maximize rare event mutations

Galaxy event (Rainbow 5×)

The Galaxy event is the primary goal for most players chasing Rainbow mutations. At ~1% per crop per harvest, you need multiple saw cycles during the event. Ensure your Prismatic crops (Cherry Blossom, Giant Pinecone) are actively planted, watered, and inside saw coverage. Remove any existing weak mutations with Acid Spray before a Galaxy event fires if you want a clean shot at Rainbow.

Bee Swarm / Queen Bee event (Honeycomb 6.5×)

The Bee Swarm event offers the highest-value mutation in the game at 6.5× — but at only ~0.5% per crop per cycle, it is extremely rare to land. Treat any active Bee Swarm as the highest-priority farming session. Make sure your absolute best crop (Cherry Blossom or Giant Pinecone with no mutation or only a low-tier one) is planted in an Outer Ring slot under full automation.

Never log off during a Bee Swarm event. Offline crops cannot mutate. The event may only fire for a few minutes — every active harvest cycle counts.

UFO event (Alien 3.25×)

The UFO event (Alien, 3.25×) appears slightly more often than Galaxy events but with a rarer drop than Nuclear. Alien is a strong stepping stone for Exotic crops while you wait for a Galaxy or Bee Swarm event. Do not burn Acid Spray to remove a Radioactive mutation for an Alien chance — the difference is modest.

Event readiness checklist

Before any rare event (Mega Farm / Galaxy / Bee Swarm), confirm all of the following:

  1. Your best Prismatic or Exotic crop is planted in an Outer Ring (19×) slot.
  2. Sprinkler coverage reaches that specific plot.
  3. Saw range includes that plot in its rotation.
  4. Sprinkler Power is high enough that the crop matures before each saw pass.
  5. Crop has no current mutation (or only a low-tier one you are willing to risk replacing).
  6. You are actively watching — not idle or offline.
  7. Time Skip rewards are saved, not used yet, so post-mutation income is maximized.
